blender-model-data-center

Hey everybody!

I’m working with Blender for quite a while now. Mostly for product visuals. I got a few hours of spare time and started to model a data center. Data Center, because I’m a big tech nerd and i just love the endless rows of servers.

It’s a WIP the picture below was a test, if my layout would work. I think it is. What do you think? Drop me a comment.

There was a huge thunderstorm over Berlin this morning, between 12:00 and 5:00 am. So I grabbed my 7D, my tripod and my Macbook and took some photographs of the Lightnings that showed up in front of my living room window. The results are the following 8 Pictures:

Iron Sky Tickets in my hands
So yesterday we went to the world premiere of Iron Sky at Berlinale 2012. The screening took place in the Friedrichstadtpalast. We arrived at around 5:30. Half an hour before the screening began. The main hall was crowded with many many people who wanted to see the movie. After we sat down, we had to wait some minutes. Then cast and crew arrived (they stood only 2.5 meters away from me :D) and the movie started after a short speech of Timo Vuorensola (director of Iron Sky). View full article »

(You can also see some EPIC rigs) *YAY*

Peter Jackson shoots The Hobbit at 48 frames per second.

Here’s what he said:

”We are indeed shooting at the higher frame rate. The key thing to understand is that this process requires both shooting and projecting at 48 fps, rather than the usual 24 fps… So the result looks like normal speed, but the image has hugely enhanced clarity and smoothness.

Looking at 24 frames every second may seem ok… but there is often quite a lot of blur in each frame, during fast movements, and if the camera is moving around quickly, the image can judder or strobe. Shooting and projecting at 48 fps does a lot to get rid of these issues. It looks much more lifelike, and it is much easier to watch, especially in 3-D.”
